Theog

This heavenly place is a small town, amidst the abode of nature. Town lies at the height of 2310 metres above the sea level, and the mountains are clearly visible during clear weather. The best known time to visit Theog is during the early winters between October and November. The temperature then remains pretty moderate during the day but gives chills at nights. Kotkhai

The word ‘Kotkhai’ is derived from both Urdu and Hindi language where the term ‘Kot’ means King’s Palace and ‘Khai’ refers to depth. It eventually refers to the King’s Palace situated in depth. The Nagar Panchayat is known as the largest producer of apples in Shimla. The Town is also known for its traditional fairs, customs and values.

It lies at the height of 1881 metres above sea level. Some of the famous places to visit when in Kotkhai include Kiala Forest, Garawog, Kotkhai Palace and the HPCA Stadium Gumma. 
The region has been hosting its traditional sport of bow and arrows since the establishment, known to the locals as ‘Thotha’. The best time to visit this unexplored place near Shimla is during the months July to September.
