Board the cabs from Dehradun early in the morning and travel to the holy town of Gangotri at 1000 ft, this is the road head of this trek. The journey would take around 10-12 hours.
Upon arrival, check-in to your hotel and stay overnight.

The ideal time for Vasuki Tal Trek is during the spring and summer season from May to Mid June and then from September to mid-October. Trekking can not be possible during the winter season because the lake is situated on an extremely high altitude and the place experiences low temperatures during this season along with freezing weather conditions. Trekking during the rainy season is also not allowed since the entire region becomes prone to unpredictable landslides.
Vasuki Tal Trek is considered to be a moderately difficult trek, especially for the beginners. Some trekkers can start their trekking right away from Gaurikund while others can take a pony ride till Kedarnath shrine and then trek towards Vasuki Tal.
