The walk through the forest to Buschandlwand can feel quite steep but you will feel rewarded when you arrive at the observation platform that offers breathtaking panoramic views.
An alternative route takes you through vineyards to the famous wine growing community Spitz an der Donau.
You will retire in Spitz today at the end of your hiking tour of the Wachau region.
Check out of the hotel and transfer to Vienna to reach the main rail terminal in time to take your train to Budapest.

You can walk across the numerous bridges that connect the twin cities of Buda and Pest and explore on your own.
