- The journey starts with your arrival in Kathgodam, from where you will drive towards Munsiyari. After a night in the guesthouse there, you will trek to Lilam the next day. Spend a day in the tents here.

- Feel the trans-Himalayan trekking experience as you trek through Bogudiar, Rilkot, and Ghanghar before trekking to the Pachu Glacier with overnight stays in tents every night. 

- From Pachu Glacier, you will explore the base camp for a day, before starting the return trek the next day. You will trek to Martoli, Rargari, and Munsiyari, staying at every location for a night.

  • Day 1 - Kathgodam- Munsiyari ( 2290 mtrs. ) 277 kms

    After your arrival in Kathgodam, you will be taken on a drive through the hills of Kumaon to reach Munsiyari.

    The destination for the day is Chaukori, which is famous for its tea gardens and iconic views of the Himalayas.

    The rest of the day is for you to acclimatize in the guesthouse.

    Dinner and overnight at accommodation.

  • Day 2 - Munayari – lilam (1850 mtrs. ) 7 kms

    The trekking begins after breakfast with the easy trek from Munsiyari to Lilam, which is a small village and winter residence of the inhabitants of Milam Village.

    You will be staying here, surrounded by some of the most amazing views.

    Dinner and overnight in tents.

  • Day 3 - Lilam- Bogudiar (2609mtrs. ) 12 kms

    After breakfast this morning, you will be trekking through forests of Utees trees. This forest is where the small rivulets of Ralam and Gori Ganga meet.

    Following the way, you will arrive at a point where the Gori Ganga is met by the river Poting, marking the village of Bogudiyar.

  • Day 4 - Bogudiar- Rilkot (3130mtrs.) 12 kms

    The beginning of the true Trans-Himalayan terrain and trekking experience is from this point on. After breakfast, you will start the trek to Rilkot.

    There will be a short diversion on the way to the Laspa Village to visit the Northern Nanda Kot Glacier.

    Keeping on the trek, you will arrive at the village of Rilkot, where you can set up camp by the river.

  • Day 5 - Rilkot- Ghanghar (3300mtrs.) 13 kms

    After breakfast, the trek leads out of Rilkot, and just after a short distance, you can see the view of Martoli Peak.

    You can see the terrain opening up to reveal true forms of Trans-Himalayan landscape.

    You will walk through meadows to finally arrive at the village of Ghanghar. This village marks the beginning of the Pachu Valley, which eventually leads to the base camp of Nanda Devi.

    Explore the local houses with ancient wood carvings. Also visit the ancient temple of the region.

  • Day 6 - Ghanghar- Pachu Glacier ( 4000smtrs.) 7kms

    After breakfast this morning, the steep climb to Pachu Glacier will begin.

    As you walk past the forests of Rhodendron, the peak seems to be looming closer with each step you take.

    After trekking for about 5 hours and covering 7 kms, you will arrive at the Pachu Glacier on the northern face of Nanda Devi.

  • Day 7 - Exploring the Base Camp

    The morning will see you waking up to a mesmerizing sunrise. You will then have your breakfast.

    The day is for walking up on the glacier, so you can get a closer view of the beautiful peak.

  • Day 8 - Pachu Glacier- Martoli 17 kms

    The trek begins after breakfast this morning, where you will be trekking downhill for a long while before experiencing an uphill trek.

    The town falls on an important ancient trade route, and hence you can see houses with many ancient wood carvings. The town is also famous for getting unbeatable views of the Nanda Devi east and Nanda Kot.

    During the total of 9 days of trekking and 2 days for transportation, our entire group enjoyed a lot. Luckily, most of our group members were from hilly region and we were able to get acclimatised to the climate easily.
