However we haven’t seen tiger but Corbett Jeep Safari was very adventurous as we went inside the dense forest and it was a bumpy ride. Thanks Thrillophilia for such an amazing trip to tiger land

Corbett Tiger Reserve is spread over Nainital, Pauri Garhwal, and Almora districts of Uttarakhand at the foothills of the Himalayas. Ramnagar, situated in Nainital district is the administrative head-quarter of Corbett Tiger Reserve.
There are five exclusive tourism zones in the Corbett Tiger Reserve. The names of the five tourism zones are - Durgadevi, Bijrani, Sitabani, Jhirna, Dhikala and the new tourism zone has been named Dhela.
The Corbett Tiger Reserve remains closed during the monsoons. All the six zones of Corbett Tiger Reserve are closed for visitors from June to November. The Jhirna Tourism Zone remains open for day safaris throughout the year, provided the road and weather conditions are fine.
The Bijrani Zone remains closed for day visits from 30th June to 14th October. The Dhikala, Sonanadi, and Lohachara Tourism Zones are closed for day visits from 16th June to 14th November.
Advance reservations are not done during this period and these three zones can be shut down by the director of Corbett Tiger Reserve anytime at short notice. However, it also depends on weather conditions.
Unfortunately, you cannot visit the other tourism zones with one entry permit. A particular entry permit is issued for a specific tourism zone only. Hence, safari is permitted only for that specific zone for which the ticket was issued.
Unfortunately, you can neither cancel, transfer or reschedule your permit for the safari. Tickets once booked cannot be canceled or rescheduled. It cannot be done online or at the entry gates. Also, the amount once paid, cannot be refunded.
With one permit, a maximum of six adults and two children (between the age of five to 12 years), excluding the mandatory naturalist/ nature guide and the registered jeep driver are allowed in one vehicle during a Corbett Tiger Reserve safari.
It totally depends on how long you want to stay and how minutely you want to see the park. However, we recommend a minimum of two days. Though it is not sufficient to see the entire national park, it is enough to cover the essentials. You can stay in the different tourism zones on each day by booking a lodge inside the national park.
