The distance between Hatta Village and Dubai is almost 132 km.
Hatta village lies to the south-east of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. It touches near the border of Oman. If you go by bus from Dubai, the nearest bus station is Sabkha Bus Station.
Once you reach the bus station, you need to walk for 12 minutes and arrive at Hatta Village. There are pick-up and drop facilities provided to its customers. Within six hours, one can cover the entire Hatta Village tour and come back to the place of stay without much hassle.

This centuries-old place embraces a defensive tower, stone houses with palm-frond roofs, and falaj, and the traditional water system.

After recognizing the importance of Dubai’s heritage and culture, the government opened the place to the public in 2001 and started the Hatta Village Tour. Since then, they started developing all the essential items to satisfy all travel needs.
They reconstructed traditional huts and buildings to bring them back to life, followed by collecting all jewellery, weaponry, pottery, and utensils that were mined in the mountain regions. It also includes the main Hatta Fort, restored in 1995, and it’s meant for defence and surveillance purposes in early days. The ceiling alone is built using palm fronds, trunks, and mud.
Hatta village is located at an elevation of 300 m above sea level. So, its weather throughout the year is slightly different from the rest. The year starts with the cold season where January is the coldest month of Hatta.
The place remains cold until the end of March. After that, the temperature rises to 26 degrees C and gradually reaches 31 – 32 degrees C in the month of June. In Hatta village, June month is considered as the hottest month.
This season stays up to the beginning of September. Since then, the temperature goes down and reaches its lowest in the month of December – January. Throughout the year, there is no virtual rainfall except in February. Hence, the best time to have the Hatta village tour is from October to February.
The total distance from Hatta to Oman border is exactly 31 km. If you’re taking a private car or hiring a cab and using the fastest route, you can reach the Oman border from Hatta in 40 – 45 minutes. The travel experience is surely one-of-a-kind to the tourists.
There are buses running from Dubai to Oman border through Hatta Village at regular timings. It is 15 dirham per person to travel between the two places. The buses are extremely luxurious and ensure a sophisticated journey.
