Located at an altitude of 800 meters in the Western Ghats, Agumbe, Shimoga is the quaint little town you must visit at some point in your life! One of the last remaining rainforests of India, Agumbe is perhaps the herpetology capital of this part of the world. Embark on an exciting Agumbe photography tour expedition and you can search for the beautiful, yet fearsome species of the Malabar Pit Viper and the hump-nosed viper, amongst other exotic species.
Grab your cameras and keep a watch out in the thick vegetation for the stunning green vine snakes and if you are lucky you could even find the biggest of them all, the King Cobra!
