Syntheri Rock

Nature seekers and photographers have to add this place under their category of places to visit in Dandeli. You trek all the way to meet this monolith granite rock which is 300 meters in height. The place boasts a small waterfall and a rocky ravine.

Though advisable to refrain from swimming or rock climbing, brave hearts can and do face the rocky adventure. The place has rocky elevations but slippery surface which might be tough to tread in the rainy season. Such adventurous activities in Dandeli are seen at many places around it.

Shiroli Peak

Anshi National Park

Anshi National Park is one of the amazing places near Dandeli which is well known for its Tiger reserve. It is alternatively also called Kali Tiger Reserve since the River Kali passes through the reserve. It is a highly protected area and is spread over 1300 square kilometers. It is an evergreen tropical rainforest.

Ulavi Temple

Ulavi Temple

Ulavi Temple also spelt Ulvi temple is quite famous amongst the tourists. It is the temple of Shri Ulavi Channabasaveshwara. It is located in the tiger reserve and is very famous amongst the pilgrims. Every year lakhs of pilgrims and devotees come to seek blessings of Shri Ulavi Channabasaveshwara.

The annual fest of the temple is held in February or Magha Poornima. It lies amidst the town of Dandeli and Karwar and has been in the heart of the Western Ghats. It goes without saying that it is quite scenic. It is one reverential spot of the lingayat community as it has the Samadhi of Saint Channabasavanna. Originally styled after the Chalukyas style, it has recently been renovated.

Statues of Shiva Sharanas, a devotee of Lord Shiva, adorn the temple premises. Ulvi Temple is one of the popular tourist places near Dandeli for many caves and stalactites. It was a great experience. Accommodation and meals were good. Activities offered here are very adventurous. Great place and would recommend everyone.
"Awesome place. Food is ok ok..but if u r north indian or south Indian, doesn't matter..u will like the food. The resort owner is so polite and helpful, he will do everything u asked for. If u want liquor, u will get it with a little additional cost..and the evening with campfire is just un forgettable..Rooms are excellent with all facilities provided. In such a low cost, u can't expect more than this. Rooms are like 3 star Hotel room..Just an awesome trip of life..Will love to see the place again in the same resort..."

One of the best camping places in Dandeli. I had an amazing time there with my friends. This place is very calm and you can forget all your worldly worries here. I have never been to such a calm campsite.

This place connects you with nature and gives you time to calm yourself. This place also provides you a view in the wilderness of Dandeli. I was hooked on this place. In the morning, you can hear birds chirping and rustling of trees. It is the best place to spend your money. On top of that the hospitality that you get from the staff during your stay is amazing.

I booked my camping tickets from Thrillophilia. They provided me with various choices for this campsite. After reaching there we met with the manager who was super friendly and welcomed our stay. The food was excellent there as well. A recommended place to visit.

I had an amazing stay at this campsite. I felt that it is the best campsite in Dandeli and everyone should visit once. They have an amazing campsite with a dining place and a swimming pool. I really loved the concept of this place. The Manager of this place was very polite and the staff there was courteous. Much appreciated gesture.
