This four storey wooden temple is located in the middle of the Van Vihar forest in Kulu Manali. Being one of the oldest temples in this region, it is a prime tourist attraction and an important part of the Manali tour packages. Built in 1553, it is dedicated to Goddess Hadimba, the wife of Bheema, the Pandava brother.
There is also a sacred rock in the temple premises that is believed to possess mystical powers of healing. The Hadimba Temple’s unique architectural style that combines elements of Buddhist temple architecture is palpable.
If you are looking to embark on a trek to one of the most remote and untouched places to visit in Manali, then Jogni also called as Jugni Waterfalls is the best place to be. Located at an easy distance of about 3km from the main market of Manali, it can be reached directly by a vehicle. As soon as you park at the base of the falls, you will see the beautiful natural scenery that encircles the entire falls area.
The trek route passes through
narrow paths and is breathtakingly beautiful as it traverses orchards, pine
forests and several small streams. Al through the way, you can see the peaks at
Rohtang Pass and the gush of the Beas River flowing by. The trek to the top of
the waterfall lasts for about 20 minutes and will expose you to some of the
most serene beauties of nature. Try to make it in the afternoon when the
sunlight catches droplets of the waterfall.

frequent places to visit in Manali, the Van Vihar National Park attracts
visitors mainly because of its ideal location, which is bang on the Mall road
in Manali. The park is a welcome respite from the crowds and the pollution with
its tall and shady groves of Deodar, birch and pine. There are a number of
wooden and concrete benches within the park, which provide rest, relaxation and
recreation to its visitors.

Vashisht Hot Water Springs & Temple
Located in the premise of the 4000-year-old temple of Vashisht, the kulguru of Lord Ram, the hot springs are a major tourist attraction in Manali.
Revered by the locals and tourists alike, the springs are said to have medicinal properties due to the presence of chemicals like lithium, calcium, etc. that cure a host of diseases.
Taking a long dip in the relaxing waters of the spring magically calms one down. There are separate areas for men and women to access the springs.

Located only two kilometres from Manali, this wildlife sanctuary is a naturalistic paradise that spreads over 3,000 hectares. The terrain here is characterized by lush green forests and snow capped mountains. On a trip to this sanctuary, you are always inundated with the sights and sounds of colourful birds and exotic flora and fauna.
While deodar, fir, chestnut, walnut and robinia are the most commonly found vegetation in this sanctuary, you can also easily spot snow leopards, brown bears, musk deer and ibex herds in the picturesque vicinity of the sanctuary.
Addition to this, Manali Wildlife Sanctuary is a paradise for the birdwatchers and the shutterbugs. Amongst the many rare and exotic species, a plenitude of tree creepers, kokla and kingfisher are the most commonly found species.

Rohtang Pass is quite famous among Ladakh travelers but the unpredictable avalanche and severe climatic conditions make it scary some times. Nonetheless, it had made adventure seekers’ tour of Ladakh mind-blowing. A high mountain pass at an elevation of 3978 meters above the sea level, Rohtang is just 51 km from Manali. It is a part of the proud Pir Panjal Range of the mighty Himalayas and it is one of the Kullu famous places.
It acts as the connecting link between Kullu Valley and Lahaul and Spiti Valley. Being an ancient trade route, it was well maintained by the natives. The generic name of the pass suggests that either the pass was the oldest and the most used pass. With the increase of visitors every year, the fragile mountain ecology will be in threat, environmentalists worry.
But the exciting beauty of the mountain terrains seen from the top of the pass is indescribable and flamboyant. The Indian Government started building a tunnel which is 8.5 km long to bypass Rohtang pass in order to reduce the travel time and distance to Keylong, Lahaul and Spiti and Leh.
The tunnel promises to reduce the distance by 50 km and the time by five hours between the south and north faces of Rohtang pass. Currently, the time taken to ascend and descend the pass itself is 5-6 hours.
Height: Rohtang Pass is located at an altitude of 3978 meters above the sea level in the Pir Panjal Range of the Himalayas.
Location: The pass is located about 51 kms away from Manali and you can reach the pass if you take Leh- Manali Highway.
Best time to visit: The pass will be open from the months of May to October as the snow starts melting and the paths will be cleared.
One of the oldest and best known cafes in Old Manali, Café 1947 was its first music café. Resting easily on the banks of the gushing waters of Manalsu River, it is a quaint albeit a highly recommended and a beautiful place to satisfy your taste buds.

of the booths at the same time as the patrons enjoy the delicious servings of

It was also said that he used to meditate on this same site. There is a Nehru kund nearby through which a spring originates from the lake which tourists love.
Best time to visit: You must only visit the place during daytime which will take you around 1-2 hours.
