When I joined this trek with 5 of my close friend, I guess it was the perfect time. Pearl white snows everywhere! Even the forest were also covered with snow blanket. A must trek for everyone. Arrangement was kk.

Initially I was very apprehensive about the Dodital & Darwa Pass Trek and was not sure if I could manage it. Thanks to my friends, I engaged in it and was really happy about it. I came across such beautiful landscapes with meadows covered in snow and pine tree areas. It was some great bonding time with my gal pals too.

The calm surroundings, rippling streams, sparkling clear water and intense alpine forests will make the Dodital trek the best and an ideal one for novice trekkers. However, if you have time and energy, you can add thrill to your trek by extending the trek to Yamunotri via Darwa Top like we did. It was awesome and much more fun. The treks are not that expensive or tedious. It is worthy.

The Dodital Lake and the surrounding forests is a huge reservoir of natural beauty. There is so much to explore and discover. All my time and efforts were worth it. An extremely rewarding trip.

It is recommended to stay healthy and fit for a trek like this. You might think that it is easy but for the beginners it is not. The stays were good and the weather was clear. But the physical exhaustion was too much. I wish I had my young lungs then.

They say that the journey is sweeter than the destination, but I was proved wrong as I took a hike to the Lake of Dodital in Uttarakhand. Passing through the hallowed doors of Haridwar from where my husband and I boarded a bus to the said destination. Once we reached the verdant slopes greeted us warmly. The intermitent specks of villages actually complimented our Dodital Trek in Uttarakhand. The paramount stillness of the lake, the slopes kissing the clouds at dizzying heights were marvels to watch. And this being my first time, it was quite an easy trek for me.

Nice atmosphere. Nice people. Blue sky and green forests are what you need for a holiday but do not ruin it with a bad choice of accommodation. The trek was quite normal and moderately challenging. Good for couples and families.

Great experience to share with friends and family. The trekking activity was enjoyable. We all were tired and had a sound sleep in the rooms. The food delivered were average.

Simple trek. Not challenging at all. Good for first timers. But not for pro trekkers. Our group expected a lot more thrill and challenge. But had to find it in other locations. The trekking staffs were good.

We organised a tour and trek for the beginners who wanted to know about Himalayas. They enjoyed the whole trip like we did when we were novice. Frequent trekkers might find it boring. The home stays were average but the food was relishing.

This was my first trek. My budget was limited. One of my office colleagues advised me to take this popular tourist route. The virgin beauty of the surrounding forests and the Dodital Lake mesmerized me.

This was my third visit to the Dodital Darwa trekking trail. This lake had witnessed one of the most furious floods in 2011. The mass destruction has left permanent traces. This region is slowly getting more developed with new constructions.

One of the most beautiful, undisturbed trekking routes in India. Quite convenient for beginners like me. My guide helped a lot.

Being an avid birdwatcher, I have a special reason to come for the Dodital Darwa trek. The surrounding dense forests are a safe haven for a wide variety of Himalayan birds and some of the most exotic species. Can never have enough of this place.

Don’t expect too much modern facilities, sophisticated food items or other things that are available in the city. Everything here is very simple and natural. One of the best trekking routes in the Himalayas.
