Located in the foothills of Himalayas, Sikkim is surrounded by forests and slow-clad mountains peaks with clouds playing hide and seek within rhododendron bushes and silver fir trees. As it is located close to Tibet, Sikkim is deeply influenced by Buddhist and has beautiful monasteries alongside ancient Hindu temples and objects of natural beauty like lakes and waterfalls. To experience Sikkim in its pristine glory take the North Sikkim Tour, starting from a sightseeing tour in Gangtok to Tsomgo Lake and Nathula Pass and end it up at Lachen that is close to the famous seven sisters’ waterfall.

After a night of rest proceed to the sacred Gurudongmar Lake or Lachung as both will take you across snow-clad mountains. Yumthang Valley is another interesting place that is just 21 kms from Lachung that you can visit and explore the hot springs on the way. If you are the religious kind then there are several monasteries and Buddhist temples to explore in this beautiful land like the Rumtek Monastery, Tashiding Monastery, Sherdup Choeling Monastery and Rumtek Monastery. For tourists short of time, a quick cable ride in Gangtok will allow them to have a bird’s eye view of the region after which they can take a river rafting tour of the famous Teesta River to view the beautiful scenery and birds along the river.

To understand the true essence of Sikkim one needs to take time out and explore this beautiful state’s landscape and sample its cuisine. The best way to do that would be to start with a sightseeing tour in Gangtok and move on from there to Tsomgo Lake, Dubdi Gompa, Tashi Tenka, Norbugang Park and then Khangchendzonga National Park. For strategic views of cliffs and mountains a visit to Zuluk is a must that gives breathtakingly beautiful views of surroundings valleys and hills.

Excellent
This was my first trip with Thrillophilia as well as with complete strangers. I must say that Thrillophilia did not disappoint me ( nobody is perfect, so be flexible to accept minute glitches) . The whole trip went so smooth , starting from the pick up from airport, the hotels we got, arrangement of permits, site seeing and drop at the airport. Special thanks to Deep ( trip coordinator from tour angle) and Ammu ( my cab driver) . P. S. : if you want to see the flower calf yumthang valley and the frozen Tsomgo and Gurudongmar lake , then the ideal time to visit north Sikkim is March-April. November is the ideal time to witness the pleasant winter of sikkim along with its untouched beauty. Looking forward to travel more with Thrillophilia. P.S: the only problem which we faced was two co- passengers who used to get late for everything and because of them we had to rush from each location because of time constraint ( I totally understand that this things isn’t in the hand of Thrillophilia)
Excellent

First of all I would like to thanks Thrillophilia for giving us such a lifetime experience in Gangtok..The main highlights of this tour was Tsomgo Lake, Baba Mandir, Tiger hill. We even went up to Nathu la pass and it was freezing up there
Everything was good must recommend this tour to everyone. A big thumbs up
We booked the Sikkim trip from kolkata. It was a well organsied trip.It was a 8 days trip and we visited the famous cities like Darjeeling, Gangtok ,Lachen and Lachung, If you love traveling I'll suggest you visit Darjeeling at least once.
It was a very well organized tour. Everything was nicely arranged, the driver was also good. Overall it was a nice trip.
We were picked up from Bagdogra airport and on our way to Gangtok, we drove across Mahananda wildlife sanctuary, it was such a green drive. We explored MG road and Lal market in the evening. We also visited the famous Tsomgo lake, Kyongnosla, and Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir.
I booked the Gangtok package from Kolkata and I am thankful to the entire team of Thrillophilia for making this trip so memorable. We enjoyed both the locations equally and my favorite is the winding road leading to Darjeeling and the beautiful Kanchenjunga point.
