About Wat UmongOffering an extraordinary atmosphere full of tranquillity and spirituality, Wat Umong is a Buddhist temple hiding away in a dense jungle at the foot of Doi Pui Mountain. The temple complex dates back to the 13th Century and features ruins, a large stupa, meditation tunnels, and a monastery.

Owing to its serene location and rich history, this 700-year-old temple is one of the best places to visit in Chiang Mai where you can spend a few hours soaking in its peaceful ambience.
