About Wat Chet YotThe geography of Chiang Mai is dotted with stunning Buddhist temples, and Wat Chet Yot is among the best ones. Exhibiting a unique amalgamation of various architecture styles including Indian, Chinese, Lao, Lanna and Rattanakosin, this temple is brilliantly built. The construction of the temple was completed in 1487 during Lanna era.
Chat Yot or Jed Yod translates to ‘7 peaks’ which is in reference to the 7 chedis built on top of the viharn. 70 Thewada figures on the outer walls are another great highlight worth having a good look at. Wat Chet Yot is definitely one of the top Chiang Mai attractions owing to its reverence and brilliant craftsmanship.
